Hamilton is located at the west end of Lake Ontario, about a one hour drive from Toronto. From Toronto there are many modes of transportation that can be utilized to get to Hamilton.
Hamilton Airport is serviced by Westjet Airlines with daily service from Calgary International Airport and beginning May 1 from Edmonton, Winnipeg, Moncton and Halifax.They are offering a 10% discount on fares for this conference. Go Transit offers morning and evening trains to Hamilton and bus service from Toronto every hour throughout the day. They also offer service from York University and Square One Shopping Centre directly to the McMaster campus throughout the day.
From other destinations in Canada, flights are available to Toronto International Airport. Again, check the Westjet or Air Canada sites.
- From Downtown Toronto: follow the Gardiner Expressway to the Queen Elizabeth Way. At Burlington, merge onto the 403 Westbound. Exit at the Main St. W. Exit.
- From North Toronto and Toronto Airport: follow the 407 Toll Route. At Burlington, merge onto the 403 Westbound. Exit at the Main St. W. Exit. Alternately, follow the Hwy 401 to the Hwy 403 in Mississauga. Stay on the 403 until you reach the Queen Elizabeth Way. At Burlington, merge onto the 403 Westbound. Exit at the Main St. W. Exit.
- From Kitchener, Cambridge and Guelph: follow the 401 east to Morriston. Follow the ramp to the Hwy 6. Follow Hwy 6 to Hwy 403. Exit at the Main St. W exit.
- From Brantford, London, Windsor and points west: follow the 401 east to Woodstock. Follow the ramp to the 403 East to Brantford and Hamilton and exit at Aberdeen Avenue. Turn left on Longwood Rd. then left on to Main St. West.
- From Grimsby, St. Catherines and the Niagara Peninsula: follow the Queen Elizabeth Way to Hwy 403 Westbound. Exit at the Main St. W. Exit.
