INTRODUCTION In the past ten years the antibiotic utilization in our Country has
been increasing steadily for a group of determined antibiotics ie cotrimoxazole, being its
DDD 1,84 in 1984 and 3,68 in 1994, we can say it triplicates, other drugs maintain a very
high utilization rates as tetracyclines and penicillines. Some studies have been performed in primary care which point out that
the most used antibiotics by DDD measures are Penicilline, Cephalosporine and
Metronidazole. Even though, we do not know which are the diagnosis that lead to this
prescription and whether they are correctly used or not. To give an answer to this question and find other fact that could
influence the high utilization rates of antibiotics in Primary Care, we perform this
study. | Discussion Board | Next Page | Your Poster Session | |
