Fun and informal activities will fill the streets and provide lots of entertainment for the whole family. In addition, a number of scheduled activities are planned, some taking pre-registration, and some requiring that you dress for the occasion—please review and plan to take part!
Kids Scavenger Hunt: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Campus Tours: 11:30 am – 3:30 pm
Explore the beautiful McMaster campus in an enlightening guided walking tour. Meeting point, central campus.
Open Lectures: 11:30 am and 1:00 pmLearn from two of McMaster’s exceptional professors in these “Classes without Quizzes”. Bring the kids along to see what a university lecture is like! 11:30 am: “What is the universe made of?” Dr. Cliff Burgess, Professor, Physics & Astronomy 1:00 pm: “The science of instructional design and University 2.0” Dr. Joe Kim, Assoc. Professor, Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour The centuries old tradition of the university is ready for change and educators should pay attention to research on best practice, learning technology and cognitive processes underlying effective learning. Dr. Joe Kim explains how research from the science of instructional design is helping to reboot the university to serve the next generation of learners. |

Planetarium Tours:
20 minute shows running every half hour, beginning at 11:30 am, located in Burke Science Building, lower level, Room B149.
Enjoy a tour of the night skies above Hamilton, through the Solar System and beyond at McMaster’s own Planetarium.
