You had asked a question about receptors for EETs and the efects of COX inhibitors. In some instances, the effects of EETS are inhbited by indomethacin , in others not. Re: Receptors, little is known. There is apaper by Wong et al (1993) where they show high affinity binding sites for 14(R) 15(S)-EET on a membrane prep from guinea-pig mononuclear cells. Antagonists for TP, LT and PAF receptors did not displace binding (J.Lipid Mediators 6:199-208).Emily is busy with her exams so I am responding in her place.
