Re: metabolic fate/kinetics of isoprostanes, information is limited (see Roberts et al BBA 1345:p128, 1997). They found that for Iso-PGF2alpha, the half-life in the rat circulation was about 16 min. The isoprostanes are beleived to be relatively stable molecules. In terms of effects, they appear to be fairly long-lasting. In terms of effects on aqueous humour dynamics, the effects lasted from 2-5 hours.If I can track that refrence down, I will post it. It was published in the Arch. Opthalmology.
