Dr. Grover: Thank you very much for your excellent question. Actually we do not have any answer, because we did not examine the alteration of cytosolic Ca2+ concentration as well as the activation of Protein Kinase C pathway including PLC gamma in this study. The PKC pathway and cytosolic Ca2+ may be involved in our system. For next step, we should consider the activation of PKC pathway in addition to MAPK pathway and STAT pathway for the growth-responsiveness of the cells to EGF.
