Thank you for the interest in our work.I regret that I can't respond your inquire about cotton plants, since this question have not been experimented yet by our group.
However, in other species, some papers indicate that some parameters tend to recover when water stress disappear, but rarely at the same level of plants control. Furthermore, the plant recover is dependent of species and its developmental stage and the severity and duration of stress.
