Dr. Mao:Fascinating results. Hope you are having fun at the meeting. First a comment and then a question. Since in the soleus muscle, there is an increase in SERCA1, it is not surprising that CAM kinase phosphorylation of SERCA decreased as SERCA1 does not have a CaM kinase II phosphorylation site. I guess you knew that. Question. You indicated that the PLN decreased in the two tissues. Did you monitor the PLN phosphorylation as an absolute value or a proportion of the total PLN present in that tissue as the interpretation of the results would depend on this calculation?
