Dr. Kawamata: Hope you are enjoying the meeting. Great poster.You conclude that your data clearly demonstrates that growth-responsiveness of the bladder cancer cells and mmortalized bladder cells to EGF is dependent on the activation of different signal transduction molecules but not on the number and affinity of EGF receptors. How does the EGF receptor activation in these cells relate to agents which are mitogenic (such as thapsigargin) because they increase cytosolic Ca2+?
