I.W.D.

What does that mean to me
Just look at the scenery
And you will see
Possibility
Discovering our voice
Leads to freedom of choice
Refusing to play the should-guilt-shame-blame game
Decolonize our minds
Celebrate all womankind
Think how we self-oppress
Through the ways we choose to dress
Really need to self define
Help our daughters free their minds
It' s up to you and me
There is no "we" in community
But maybe there needs to be
And this is what I.W.D means to me
