Dr. Flynn is currently an assistant professor of communications management in the Department of Communication Studies and Multimedia at McMaster. Since graduating from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 2005 with a Ph.D. in Mass Communications, he has been a faculty member at the DeGroote School of Business (2004-2011) and more recently the Faculty of Humanities (2011- present).M
Prior to obtaining his Ph.D., he founded and lead an international public relations/crisis communications consulting company (Frontline Corporate Communications) from 1993-2004. Before that he managed the public relations division of a Canadian advertising agency and was a Special Assistant to a federal cabinet minister in Ottawa. In addition to his doctorate, Terry has a Bachelor’s degree in political science/law from Carleton University and a Master’s degree in communications management from Syracuse University.
