Dalton McGuinty is Ontario’s 24th Premier and was first elected to the Ontario legislature in 1990. He became Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party in 1996 and led his party to a majority government in 2003. He was reelected to a second majority government in October, 2007. In 2011, he led the Ontario Liberal Party to a third mandate.
McGuinty attended McMaster obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Before entering politics, Dalton McGuinty practised law in Ottawa. He met his wife, Terri when they were both high school students in Ottawa. They have been married since 1980 and have four grown children.
