Barry Lord has earned international renown as one of the world’s leading museum planners. He is a successful author, editor, entrepreneur and an innovative leader in the field of museum design.
A native of Hamilton, Mr. Lord graduated from McMaster in 1961 with a degree in Philosophy. Following graduation, he received the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship to Harvard University, where he studied the History and Philosophy of Religion. In 1963, he received the first of several Canadian Council grants to tour European art museums and commenced his long and illustrious career as one of the world’s leading museum planners.
