For many Rose Hill is the dance studio in the Ivor Wynne Centre but to one graduate she is so much more. Sometimes the submissions say more than we could ever say about one of our persons of impact.
Rose Hill inspired her students to greatest through her teaching and demeanor. “Don’t mistake kindness for weakness” could be applied to Rose. She had great insights into people and encouraged them to do their best. Everyone loved and respected Rose. She was articulate, brilliant, kind, and generous. Through gentle means she would get her lesson across. You didn’t argue with Rose. She was always right and you would be wrong to disagree. She made you feel comfortable even though you knew you were in the presence of greatness. Wonderful lady and accomplished educator. Her leadership and wisdom provided the building blocks for the Kinesiology Department of today. I feel proud and fortunate to have had Rose Hill for a coach and professor.
