Shawn Cheung ‘05

Shawn is executive director of Raising the Village, a registered charity that empowers rural villagers in Uganda, creating sustainable communities through education and training. He now leads a team of more than 50 Canadians and locally trained staff and volunteers to implement several village–directed initiatives, drawing on experiences as a management consultant with Accenture. Shawn also serves as a Canadian Ambassador to the United Nation’s Global Poverty Project.
