Dr. Cadet: Hope you are enjoying the meeting. Great poster. I am a bit confused here. Is it possible for a health neuron to face a very large pool of 40 uM extracellular dopamine for 2 h. Not being a card carrying neuroscientist, I understood that neurotransmitters were delivered locally and removed so that extracellular dopamine would be localized and hang around for no longer than milliseconds before it is taken up. Please, clarify any gaps in this understanding?
