Dear Bob,
congratulations for your important and interesting study. The normal values found in your study may serve as comparative basis for future investigations on patients with optic nerve damage. I would like to ask you:
1) What do you think may be the reasons for the increased inter-eye variability in the superior retina ?
2) Did those eyes with a relatively high inter-eye variability show inter-eye differences in some other variables such as shape and size of the optic disc, refractive error, background pigmentation of the fundus, corneal astigmatism, lens opacities, and visual acuity ?
Kind regards
Jost
