Unlike clorgyline, moclobemide is a reversible MAOI, and (as far as I understand), it does not downregulate MAO protein expression for that reason. Furthermore, due to moclobemide's reversibility, repeated injections of the drug does not result in increased MAO inhibition (no cumulative effect), as is observed with chronic clorgyline administration.
