Advese reactions to radiologic intravascular iodized contrasts Ana Rodriguez
cdf@infomed.sld.cu
I consider this poster very interesting. I think it's very important to remark that allergic reactions to radiologic contrasts are not predictable, and the main feature the physician or technician must have in mind is to perform a very detailed questionaire about personal and familiar allergic backgrounds, before using any contrast intravascular contrast.
This reaction is generally anaphylactic or Ag-Ab complex mediated, and onset might be dalayed as well.
Intensity will always depend of intrinsec features of the patient, and of course endovenous way is much more dangerous. Thanks
