Enjoyed reading your paper. The vascular function of CO, Heme and HO etc is something I am interested too. In cerebral vasospasm, a clinical problem I am interested, the breakdown products from hemoglobin such as hemin and bilirubin have been suggested to induce smooth muscle contraction, even though the mechanism remains unclear. The role of HO in vasospasm has been studied however not extensively. Your work certainly helps us in the understanding of the prolonged contraction of major cerebral arteries after the arteries were buried in blood clot for days.
