One surprising finding in your study, is that there was no difference between SHR and WKY in the cross-sectional area of the media in both normal and collateral arteries. This is different from our previous findings, and also from others who consistently found a larger medial CSA in the SHR than WKY, even in very young animals. What was the age of these animals, and how were the vessels prepared for morphometric measurements?
