Dr. Yu: I am glad to see your nice presentation and hope you enjoy the meeting. I have a question and a comment. My question is if there is a sufficient basal level of SFT expression in HeLa cells to consider the hypothesis that the so called transferritin mediated transport is also SFT-mediated? Are there any ant-sense experiments to answer this question? My comment is that if SFT is the rate limiting protein, it is interesting that transferritin receptors are up or down regulated - something which is not rate limiting.
