thanks, Paul. You are quite right - this is an interesting question, but we don't know the answer. By RT-PCR one would guess that they are ~equally expressed in RNA isolated from the eye. What does that mean in terms of photoreceptor expression or, perhaps even more importantly, distribution, we have no idea!
