A question on the possibility of shark cartilage on Tumor therapy

Dear everyone, I have a question and I am waiting for your answer.

Before I came to US to do Ph.D. studies, I was in a China group which was trying to
purify anti-angiogenic factors from shark cartilage for future tumor therapy. But recently
it was said that scientists failed to prove shark cartilage was useful for human tests.
Could you give some advice on whether we should continue this project? How?
