Dr. Liebmann: Fascinating results. Hope you are having fun at the meeting. I read a quote: "It has been proven beyond doubt that smoking is the major cause of statistics." I was skeptic of that conclusion as I am of yours as an association does not prove a cause. You conclude that"Our results demonstrate a possible indicative or probably even a promoting role of early smoking for future heroin dependence." Perhaps it would be relevant to know that opiate use and addiction usage in the old world predates tobacco which came from the new world.
