Dear Dr. Blandina,
The microdialysis study dealing with intra-NBM histamine injection is rather interesting. Is it published elsewhere with more details? If so, please send me a reprint. The following two questions: H3 receptors can also function as heteroreceptors. Thus, is it possible that postsynaptically located H3 receptors are involved in the neurochemical and behavioral effects of, e.g., thioperamide? Furthermore, do you have an idea why blockade of H3 receptors results in facilitation only in animals with a cholinergic hypofunction?
